Girl Scouts - A Hundred Years of Healthy Living
The Run Like A Girl SCOUT 5k Run/Walk is one way Girl Scouts is providing  healthy living opportunites to the community.  For nearly 100 years, Girl Scouts has offered innovative programs in sports, nutrition and health.  More than 60 badges, patches and charms encourage girls to engage in a wide range of activities that teach them about developing healthy everyday habits, from the importance of getting enough exercise and sleep, to good hygiene and eating habits, to learning about diseases like breast cancer.

Thanks to everyone who registered for the 1st annual Run Like a Girl SCOUT 5K presented by 5/3 Bank. Although Kentucky received the most snow we have had in a decade and GSWRC was forced to cancel the event, we still raised more than $20,000.
Presented by:  Fifth Third Bank
Race packets will be mailed out to everyone who registered for the run/walk. Plans for the 2nd annual Run Like a Girl SCOUT  5K are already underway. So stayed tuned and keep running and walking! If you have any questions contact Melissa Skeens at 800-475-2621 or mskeens@gswrc.org
